Endeavor is proud to offer a one of a kind and highly distinguished faculty. Many of our faculty members are currently professional working dancers. As a result, they serve as mentors to students and provide them with direct insight into the dance industry and a true love for the performing arts.

Our instructors have appeared in multiple TV shows, films, commercials, and music videos. They have also performed for audiences around the world!

Shannon Novak–Director

Shannon, owner and director of Endeavor, graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA in Dance and now resides in Los Angeles. She recently completed her third season as a Los Angeles Laker Girl.

She began teaching at the young age of 14 and has studied many aspects of dance with instructors from the Joffery Ballet, Alvin Ailey School, and Donald Byrd's "The Group." She is the co-director of Starstruck Performing Arts Center in Lenexa, Kansas as well as the director of Pacific Dance Project, a nationally touring convention. Shannon has choreographed for many studios and teams throughout the country including the University of Kansas, University of Arizona, University of California Long Beach, and the Los Angeles Laker Girls. Her choreography has won numerous awards at both regional and national competitions.

Her television credits include the feature films A Cinderella Story and The Trouble with Ross. Shannon also appeared in national commercials for Subway, Vidal Sassoon, Coors Light, AmeriQuest, Burger King, and Coca Cola. She has appeared with Beyonce in the NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show, NBC's American Dreams, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Best Damn Sports Show.

In addition, Shannon teaches at Edge Performing Arts Center in Hollywood, as well as master classes at numerous studios throughout the nation. She dances with the Commonality Dance Company and the Seamless Dance Theatre. Shannon is anxious to share her love and passion for dance with all of her dancers!

 

Jaime Randall 

Jaime has been teaching jazz, lyrical, leaps and turns, and many other styles of dance for the last eight years. She has danced since she was two years old in Kansas City at Starstruck PAC. She taught there for two years and then moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to continue her training on a professional level.

While in Los Angeles, she was awarded a year long scholarship to the prestigious EDGE Performing Arts Center. After her scholarship year, she began working professionally in the Hollywood TV and Film industry in multiple music videos, variety shows, and company showcases. She has been an instructor at several studios throughout Orange County. In addition, Jaime tours with the LA Danceforce convention!

Jaime moved to Hawaii in 2007, but has made the long sail across the Pacific to come back to California. She is so thrilled to be a part of the Endeavor faculty and is looking forward to a great year!

 

Shelby Rabara
Born and raised in Orange County, California, Shelby received her training from Keith Clifton. She then continued her training at the Edge Performing Arts Center on a scholarship program in 2001. Shelby is a member of Adam Parson's Commonality Dance Company. She is a recent graduate with a degree from UCLA in World Arts and Cultures. Her emphasis was in dance.

Shelby is very involved in various organizations. She is working with underprivileged youth around Los Angeles promoting social and political arts activism through her passion of dance. She has danced for the Los Angeles Lakers for three seasons and has done numerous commercials and print jobs for Fresca, Sony, Apple iPod, Nike, TAG body spray, and Toyota.

She has appeared as a guest star on The Bold and the Beautiful as well as Grounded for Life. In addition, you can see her dancing in the feature film, Spring Breakdown, as well as on the hit TV show, America's Got Talent. Shelby is excited to be on the Endeavor faculty and is anxious to meet you!

Sasha Gilger
Sasha formally began her ballet training at the age of five, but showed a love for dancing as soon as she learned to walk. She was trained in the Cecchetti method of ballet, passing the method's series of beginning, intermediate, and advanced exams with high marks. At the age of 12, she became a member of the Huntington Academy of Dance's youth ballet company, Ballet Etudes, and danced a number of lead character roles.

During her years at the University of Southern California, from which she recently graduated Summa cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Theatre and Environmental Science, Miss Sasha focused on her love of performing and acting while still finding time to dance, teach, and choreograph. Sasha has been teaching for over six years and loves working with new, promising students. She has taught a variety of levels of ballet and tap, ranging from three year old pre-ballet and tap, to advanced ballet and pointe.

As a teacher, she has also worked with Ballet Etudes to choreograph and rehearse a variety of company numbers. Sasha recently obtained her Teacher's Certificate with Distinction in the Cecchetti method. She is looking forward to an exciting year at the new Endeavor School of the Arts!

Lachlan McCarthy
Lachlan, a native of Sydney, Australia, moved to Los Angeles in the summer of 2003 to train at the Edge Performing Arts Center under their scholarship program. His work credits span the Australian and Los Angeles entertainment industries including the Warner Bros. animated film, Happy Feet; Baz Luhrmann's, Midsummer's Night Dream at the Sydney Opera House; and numerous Australian Awards Shows. In addition, Lachlan has performed throughout Asia in industrials for Mercedes Benz and Samsung as well as dancing for a hit television show, Amici (in Rome, Italy) for two months. He is also a current member of Adam Parson's Commonality Dance Company and was an original cast member of the LA smash hit musical Rock of Ages.

Lachlan teaches master classes across the United States and Australia and is excited to be part of the Endeavor team.

                                                                                     

 

 

 Kim Serany
  Kim has been dancing since the age of eight. She was a member of Jazz West,   an exclusive performing group under the direction of Karen Stenger- Kovac. Kim  attended Diablo Valley College where she was captain of the National Champion   DVC Dance Team. She toured as a member of the All-American Dance Team representing the United States in Australia, Sweden, and Russia. Kim was a Disneyland parade performer cast in several parades: Christmas Fantasy, Disney Afternoon, Celebration USA, The World According to Goofy, and Electrical. She was also selected to perform in Desert Storm and for the filming of The Make a    Wish–Children's Miracle Network Telethon.

Through Dick Clark Productions, Kim starred in "Rockin' Thru The Decades," "A Chipmunk Christmas," and "The Chipmunks Go Country" shows, touring across the United States and Canada for three years. Kim danced with Limited Edition, a traveling Hip Hop troupe, under the direction of Tony Gonzalez. She was cast as a Hip Hop dancer in the music video for rap artist Chill E.B. Kim has over 20 years experience as a teacher and choreographer working for competitive/non-competitive dance studios, high school dance, and cheerleading teams. She has taught students of all ages the joy and satisfaction of expressing themselves through dance as well as helping them to build their self-confidence.

 

Stephenie S. 
Stephenie's 16 year career has been spent with an expertise in studio management and professional dance instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, pilates, and specializing in primary age dancers.  After directing several community and private and public school dance programs, Stephenie was certified as an instructor through Dance Masters of America in 2002.  She has served on the board of directors for the organization in the local area chapter.  Her choreography has won numerous high score and choreography awards.  Steph is a power pilates certified instructor and professional wellness coach with a specialty in weight loss, heart issues, sports performance, and children's nutrition.  Stephenie trains monthly with award winning doctors and coaches to keep her finger on the pulse of wellness.  She is currently working with professional dancers on enhancing their peak physical performance, as well as with local schools.  Stephenie recently relocated to Orange County after selling her bustling Pilates and wellness studio to focus on her own dance and pilates training and on her family.  We are happy to have Stephenie on the Endeavor staff!
